Professor

Katherine Runswick-Cole

Hello!

I’m Katherine Runswick-Cole and I work at the University of Sheffield. I’m looking forward to working with the WISHES team and I hope I can bring my experience of working in co-production with disabled people and with family carers in research to the project. I also bring my lived experience of being the very proud mother of two young adults, one of whom just happens to have a learning disability. In my free time, I love walking in the beautiful Peak District, close to where I live.

Katherine is Chair in Education at the University of Sheffield and Deputy Director of The School for Social Care Research (SSCR) with responsibility for Public Involvement and Engagement and for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. She is also a family carer for her son.
