Professor

Ben Geiger

Hello!

I’m Ben Geiger. I’m a professor of Social Science and Health at King’s College London. In WISHES, I’m involved in various different bits, but I take particular responsibility for the survey of people who were compared to people who went through the intervention. So, a comparison sample, easing something called ‘prolific’. My research focuses on health and disability and various different things to do with welfare and work. As well as things to do with the workplace, I’ve been doing a lot of stuff lately on the Government reforms to affect people with health conditions and disabilities. I’m very excited to work with the WISHES team on the project.

Ben is a Professor of Social Science & Health at King’s College London. His main roles are in leading the WelfareExperiences project (a comparison of how it feels to claim benefits in five European countries), and co-leading a programme on work, welfare and mental health in the Centre for Society & Mental Health.
